A bit about us
Mad Cucumber – Vegan Lounge Bournemouth was established in 2013 by Kamil and Ewelina. Inspired and wanting to bring positive changes to the sunny seaside town of Bournemouth, with the help of family and friends they transformed the space that once held a hair salon into a rustic vegan lounge.
In April 2023 Federica, dedicated member of the staff, took over the running business together with Marcello who she met at the café a year before. Putting together strong experience in customer service & vegan cooking skills, the two friends added their fresh Italian touch to the well-established Mad Cucumber.
Starting August 2025, Federica becomes the sole owner of Mad Cucumber by working actively in the café. She prides herself of having put together a team of amazing women, wonderful individuals who bring into the daily operation different skills & unique personalities, along side dedication & passion to deliver yummy food in a cozy and friendly atmosphere, making Mad Cucumber the little gem you might already know.

My favourite vegan restaurant in Dorset by a mile - Mad Cucumber is such a great place whether you want a coffee and slice of freshly made cake, or a meet up with a group of friends and some wholesome, exciting vegan food. Service has always been good, and the option to take away is also fab! Highly recommend!
I really enjoyed this, thought we would try it out for a Sunday breakfast on a wet day-tasty crushed avocado on toast, big cup of chai latte and then a piece of raw blueberry and vanilla cake to take back. A lovely space to sit in, quirky tables and lovely soft lighting, quick friendly service and very tasty food, thank you
Always packed out because it so brilliant delicious food, value for money great staff, cool vibe, cosy surroundings just fab go there and see if for yourself. Today the amazing nut roast hit the spot on a rainy bank holiday Sunday. Thanks guys your awesome
Had a lovely meal on Saturday, the hot dog was amazing. The staff where very polite & helpful. The place was very clean I loved the miss match in furniture. The ambience was lovely. Will being coming back soon. Would highly recommend
